It is short for Uninterruptible Power Supply, this device has a very important role in stabilizing the electric current or voltage that enters electronic devices, industrial machines and various other electrical devices, so that if there is an unstable current, it will not damage the equipment.

UPS is developed with a fairly sophisticated technology as a temporary backup power supply. In this short time, UPS devices can be used for various important purposes such as shutting down computers, turning off industrial machines and others so that hardware damage does not occur. In general, UPS has two types, namely offline and online UPS. For offline UPS equipment, the primary source system is PLN (socket) and the battery becomes the secondary source. In this phase, the electricity from PLN is also stabilized by the UPS, this is what will prevent damage to computer components due to unstable electricity. Meanwhile, on online UPS, the primary source is the battery and the secondary source is PLN electricity (socket). If there is damage to the battery, the transfer switch will automatically take over the electricity and then connect it to the secondary source. This type of UPS is now widely used by the public because of its good working principles.
